Dear Akashbeer,
Following were the causes of the French Revolution:
- Since the reign of King Louis XIV, France had involved itself in many wars.
- King Louis XVI and his wife Mary Antoinette were used to leading a life of luxury and were not even scantly aware of the hardships faced by the French masses.
- The French administrative apparatus was thoroughly corrupt.
Following were the important results of the French Revolution:
- It marked the end of the institution of absolute monarchy in France and saw the establishment of a Republic.
- The Revolution led to the establishment of a democratic government for the first time in Europe.
- Feudalism as an institution was buried by the Revolution and the Church and the clergy were brought under State control.
Kindly ask the second query as a separate question.
