As the numbers are in the ratio 4:7.
Let the numbers be 4x and 7x, where 7x is the greater number.
As per the condition,
3(7x)+2(4x)=59
21x+8x=59
29x=59
x=59/29
The smaller number is 4x = 4(59/29) = 236/59
The larger number is 7x = 7(59/29) = 413/29
