Expert Answer
After placing 1 at one of the four places, the rest of the 3 places can be filled in 7P3 ways
We need to subtract the no. of ways where the 4th digit is zero and that is 6P2 ways
Hence, th no. of ways of forming 4-digit number so that each number contain 1 is 7P3 - 6P2 = 480 ways
