Let cost price of an article be Rs. x
According to the question,
begin mathsize 16px style straight x plus 15 over 100 straight x minus open parentheses straight x plus 10 over 100 straight x close parentheses equals 10
fraction numerator 15 x minus 10 x over denominator 100 end fraction equals 10
fraction numerator 5 straight x over denominator 100 end fraction equals 10
5 straight x space equals 1000
straight x equals 200 end style
Hence. cost price of an article is Rs. 200.
