Similarities :
(i) Both the 
-rays and X-rays are the electromagnetic waves.
(ii) Both the -rays and X-rays travel with the speed 3 x 108 ms-1 in air (or vaccum).
Dissimilarities :
(i) The wavelength of -rays is shorter than that of X-rays. The wavelength of -rays is 10-3A, while that of X-rays is 1 A.
(ii) -rays are more penetrating than X-rays.
