Recasting won't change the volume.

Let D1,D2,D3,Do be the diameters of the three recast balls and the initial spherical ball respectivley.

Volume of ball 1 + Volume of ball 2 + Volume of ball 3 = Volume of spherical ball

πD13/6 + πD23/6 + πD33/6 = πD03/6

D13 + D23 + D33 = D03

D33 = D03 - ( D13 + D23)

= 33 - ((3/2)3+23)

=125/8

D3 = 5/2

The diameter of the third ball is 5/2 cm.
