Expert Answer
If t is thickness of slab and μ is the refractive index, it produces a shift of [1 - (1/μ)]t .
Hence in this case shift produced by slab = [1-(2/3)]×6 = 2 cm.
Hence objct placed at 27 cm from the concave mirror appears as if it is placed at a distance 25 cm.
Image position v is obtained from mirror equation (1/u)+(1/v) = 1/f
Hence (1/v) = (1/20) - (1/25) or v = 100
Again after reflection light ray is passing through the slab and produces a shift of 2 cm.
Hence final image is obtained at 100+2 = 102 cm
