For refraction at spherical surface, we have, .................(1)
where μ is refractive index of spherical medium, v is image distance from pole,
u is object distance from pole and R is radius of curvature.
we have μ = 1.5, v = R+(32/3) cm , u = -6 cm
By substituting the values in eqn.(1), we get , ...............(2)
By solving eqn.(2), we get R ≈ 1.74 cm
