Let x cm  is the object distance from lens. Let image is formed at other side of the lens at a distance v cm from lens.

Distance v is obtained from lens equation,  (1/v) +(1/x) = 1/30  or  v = 30x/(x-30) cm

Since mirror is placed at 15 cm from lens, image is formed at a distance (v-15) cm in front of reflecting surface of mirror.
Hence image distance from lens is (v-30)  = [ 30x/(x-30) ]-30  = 900/(x-30) cm

Now this image is acting as object to form image at initial location

hence we have   (1/x) + [ (x-30) /900 ] = 1/30    ...............(1)

By solving eqn.(1) for x, we get x = 30 cm
