As shown in figure, when the cylinderical container is not filled with liquid,
angle of emergence θ for the top of board at the right edge of container is given by, tanθ = 2 or sinθ = 2/√5
After filling the container with liquid, bottom of the board is seen due to refraction.
If is angle of incidence at liquid-air boundary for the light ray going from bottom of the board,
then we have tan = 1 or sin = 1/√2
refractive index of liquid μ = sinθ / sin = 2√2 / √5
