Let the length, breadth and height be l, b and h respectively.

Volume= V= lbh

Total Surface Area=S= 2(lb+bh+hl)

Let the new length, breadth and height be 2l, 2b and 2h respectively.

New Volume= V' = 8lbh

Total Surface Area=S'= 2(2lx2b+2bx2h+2hx2l) = 4x2(lb+bh+hl)

V: V'=1:8;

S:S' =1:4;

d:d'=1:2
