This is because they have some control mechanism which does not allow the disease to develop in them.
For eg. Scientists have discovered a gene called SPRN6 which enables a mosquito to defend itself. When mosquitoes are infected with the malaria parasite this gene is switched on, thereby preventing the mosquitoes from falling sick.
