Show that x=Acos(nt+B) + {a/(n2-p2)} satisfies the differential equation d2x/dt2+n2x=asinpt for all

Expert Answer:

d2x/dt2 = -n2Acos(nt+B)

d2x/dt2+n2x = -n2Acos(nt+B) + n2 ( Acos(nt+B) + {a/(n2-p2)} ) = n2a /  (n2-p2)

which is independent of t. so there is some mistake in this question.
