Absolute humidity is the actual amount of water vapour present in the air. It does not take temperature into consideration. It is expressed as grams per cubic metre. It does not give us a very good idea of the level of humidity present in the atmosphere as it does not tell us the amount of water which the air needs to become saturated.
Relative Humidity is the ratio between the actual amount of water vapour present in the air and the maximum amount of water vapour the air can hold at that temperature. It takes temperature into consideration. It is expressed as a percentage. It is gives us a fair idea of the humidity of the air.
