The given network of resistance is given in fig.1 .
Fig.2 shows the redrawn network of fig.1 in order to understand the combination of resistors.
In Fig.2, it is seen that resistors marked as 1 and 2 are in parallel. Similarly resistors marked as 5 and 6 are parallel.
Hence in fig.3, equivalent resistance of 1 and 2 and equivalent resistance of 5 and 6 replaces their parallel combination.
From fig.3, it can be seen that, between A and B, there are two branches, each branch having
a series combination of resistors of value R/2 and R.
Fig.4 shows the simplified circuit of fig.3, by replacing each series combination with the
equivalent resistance (3/2)R in both the branches .
Now fig.4 shows the parallel combination of two resistors of equal resistance (3/2)R .
Hence the equivalent resistance across A and B is (3/4)R as shown in fig.5
