I think the question you were trying to ask is : Prove that log 7 + log 1/7 = 0
This can be solved as follows:
Take the left hand side
log 7 + log 1/7 
= log 7 + log 7-1   ... (As we know that 1/am = a-m)
= log 7 - log 7      ... (As we know that log am = m log a)
= 0
Hence, log 7 + log 1/7 = 0.
