Starting from P at the end of third turn motorist reaches S the displacement is PS which is PO+0S
As this shape is regular hexagon therefore the triangles formesd are equilateral triangle 
and hence PO=PQ=QO=500m. Therefore displacement is PO+OS=1000m. 
Whereas, Distance =PQ+QR+RS=500+500+500=1500m
 
At the end of the sixth turn the motorist reaches the same point P. therefore Displacement=0 and
Distance = 500 cross times 6 equals 3000 m
 
At the end of the eighth turn the motorist reaches the point R so total displacement would be PR 
P R equals square root of P Q squared plus Q R squared plus 2 open parentheses P Q close parentheses open parentheses Q R close parentheses C o s theta end root
P R equals square root of 500 squared plus 500 squared plus 2 open parentheses 500 close parentheses open parentheses 500 close parentheses C o s 60 to the power of 0 end root
P R equals 500 square root of 3
Distance =500 cross times 8 equals 4000 m
