when n -> ∞,   αn = αn+1 = x  .....................(1)
 
we have begin mathsize 12px style alpha subscript n plus 1 end subscript space equals space square root of fraction numerator 18 plus alpha subscript n superscript 2 over denominator 3 end fraction end root end style  ...........................(2)
when n -> ∞, by making substitution as per eqn.(1), eqn.(2) is written as ,  
 
begin mathsize 12px style x space equals space square root of fraction numerator 18 plus x squared over denominator 3 end fraction end root space space space o r space space space space space 3 x squared space equals space 18 plus space x squared space space space o r space space space x squared space equals space 9 space space space space space space o r space space space space x space equals space 3 end style
