Expert Answer:

x³-7x²+14x-8<0

Let f(x)=x³-7x²+14x-8

Clearly :

f(1)=0

f(2)=0

So facorizing f(x),

f(x)=x(x2 -3x+2)-4(x2 -3x+2)=(x-1)(x-2)(x-4)

Hence:

(x-1)(x-2)(x-4)<0

Using wavy curve method or any other standard method,

x<1 or x (2,4)
