when engine is on , rocket moves up with uniform velocity v for time to so that vertical distance ho
moved with uniform speed is ( v to ) .
After time to , engine is off, hence rocket will move with initial speed v in gravitaional field and
travels some vertical distance till its speed comes to zero.
Vertical distance travelled by rocket when engine is off , h = (v2 / 2g )
Hence total height reached by rocket = ho + h = v to + [ v2 / (2g) ]
