if the train crosses a man, distance travelled equals length of train.
 
Hence speed = distance/time = 225/10 s = 22.5 m/s
 
To corss a platform, train has to travel a distance that equals sum of length of platform and length of train
 
Hence distance to travel to cross platform = 405+225 = 630 m
 
time to cross platform = 630/22.5 = 28 s
