Figure shows the two solid spheres of radius 18 cm and 12 cm placed in a cylindrical container of diameter 54 cm .
Line passing through point of contact C makes angle 53o as shown in figure. [ Refer the figure sin-1 (24/30) = 53o ].
Mass of small sphere is 15 kg .
Hence the contact force between two spheres at point of contact C = 15 cos53 × g = 15 cos53 × 10 = 90.3 N
where g is acceleration due to gravity.
As can be seen from figure, horizontal component of contact force between two spheres = 90.3 × cos37 = 72 N
Force exerted at wall at point of contact R = 72 N

Mass of larger sphere = 60 kg
Reaction force at Q is due to weight of larger sphere and vertical component of contact force between spheres.
Reaction force at Q = ( 60 × 10 ) + ( 90.3 × sin37 ) = 654 N
