Out of group of swans 7/2 times the square root of the number are playing on the shore of tank.The teo remaining ones are playing,with amorous fight,in the water.What is the total number of swans?

Let the total no. of swans = x
No. of swans playing on the shore = 7/2 √x
Remaining swans = 2
x=7/2 √x+2
x-2 = 7/2 √x
Squaring on both sides
4(x - 2)² = 49x
solving we get 
x = 16
The total no.of swans = 16
