answered-by-expert Expert Answer
If n concurrent forces of equal magnitude act on an object with equal angles between them,
such that each angle is equal to  ( 360/n )  degrees, then the resultant will always be zero.

if two consecutive forces are removed , reultant of two consecutive force is 2Fcos(θ/2),
where θ is the angle between the consecutive forces when all the forces are symmetrically placed

Since removal of two consecutive forces disturb the symmetry, zero resultant changes to -2Fcos(θ/2)
