The popular struggles in Nepal and Bolivia were carried out at different time periods but still had remarkable similarities. Both the movements were primarily concerned with the establishing and restoring of democracy. Following are the similarities between the democratic struggles in Nepal and Bolivia:
- A popular struggle in both the countries turned into an indefinite strike.
- The struggle in both the cases involved widespread mass mobilization. It saw participation by a wide variety of classes in the society.
- It was basically a political conflict that led to the popular struggle.
- In both the cases, certain political organisations played an important role.
