The diameter of the cylinder cut out is 5cm and its length is 30cm.

Thus you can find the volume of the cylinder using the formula volume=r2h

where h = 30cm and r is calculated from 2r = 5

The volume of the orignal prism = base*height = 5*5*30

Thus the volume of the remaining portion = 5*5*30 - r2h
