Matter exists in different forms or states. Matter in any state is composed of small particles—molecules, atoms or ions. All matter exists in one of the three states. The three states are solids, liquids and gases.
About Gases:
- Have a definite mass.
- Neither have a definite shape nor a definite volume. They are not rigid.
- Hve a very disorderly arrangement of particles compared to solids and liquids.
- Can mix or diffuse into other gases.
- Can be compressed easily.
