Expert Answer:

According to the condition in the question,

Area = length × breadth = 5x × 2x = 10x2

Length including path is (5x + 2.5 + 2.5)m = (5x + 5)m and

breadth including path is (2x + 2.5 + 2.5)m = (2x + 5)m

Area of the Park = [(5x + 5)(2x + 5) - 10x] = (35x + 25)m2

Therefore 35x + 25 = 305

x = 8

Therefore the length of the park = 5x = 40m and breadth = 2x = 16m
