Expert Answer
- The daily mean temperature is calculated by adding the maximum and minimum temperatures of the day and dividing the total by two.
Hence, daily mean temperature = 42°C + 21°C
= 53°C/2
= 26.5°C
- The diurnal range of temperature is the difference between the maximum and minimum temperatures of the day.
Hence, the diurnal range of temperature= 42°C - 21°C
= 21°C
