Linear momentum p = m v , where m is mass and v is velocity
Linear momentum p ∝ v
Kinetic energy k = (1/2) m v2
Kinetic energy k ∝ v2
Hence if linear momentum increases by 5 % , then velocity has increased by 5 %
Hence kinetic energy will increase by 10%
