Let the interior angles formed by intersection of the transversal and the parallel lines be 2x and 3x

 

It is known that the sum of interior angles in the same side of a transversal formed by two parallel lines is 180 degree.

That is 2x + 3x = 180 degree.

Or,          5x = 180 degree

Or,          x = 36 degree

 

Therefore, the greater of the two angles = 3 × 36 degree = 108 degree
