How will you separate the a mixture of iodine, iron filings and salt?

Expert Answer
Iron filing are separated by magnetic separation method.
Then the remaining components of mixture are iodine and salt.
Iodine is separted by the process of sublimation.
Iodine is sublimable and changes to vapour state directly, leaving behind the salt.
The vapours can be collected and condensed to get the crystals of iodine.
