Asked by basatiya.minakshi | 06 Nov, 2023, 20:55: PM
Reproduction in humans:
- The primary sex organs, the testes in males and the ovaries in females, produce gametes, or sperm and ovum.
- The process of sperm mother cells in seminiferous tubules of the testes changing into haploid spermatozoa is called spermatogenesis.
- Human reproduction usually involves internal fertilization by sexual intercourse.
- The process of fusion of the male gamete with the female gamete is called fertilization.
- Fertilization occurs in the oviduct.
- As soon as the zygote is formed, it starts developing into a foetus.
- The foetus undergoes development in the womb of the mother for around 280 days after which the baby is born.
