answered-by-expert Expert Answer

Development usually has a negative effect on the environment. More buildings and infrastructure results in greater deforestation. Increased release of agriculture waste residues like pesticides, insecticides, crop wastes etc. into the water bodies leads to problems of eutrophication and biomagnification. Large number of automobiles and industries leads to huge emissions of green house gases leading to global development. Also increase in agriculture and infrastructure leads to loss of biodiversity. Pollutions are on the rise with increasing development.
