JEE Class main Answered
Horizontal platform with an object placed on it is executing SHM in vertical direction the amplitude of oscillation is 4 × 10 ^-3m what must be the least period of these oscillations so that the object is not detached from the platform why have they said that the maximum acceleration should be equal to g what is the reason for this and what is the meaning of least period of these oscillations are there many periods of oscillation. Explain with diagram if possible

Since the particle is executing SHM in vertical direction then the its weight or gravitational force will play a major role. When the particle is above the plane then restoring force and gravity both will act in downward direction, and when particle is below the plane the gravity will still be acting in downward direction and restoring force will be acting in upward direction.
So if we want particle to come back to its mean position the gravity must be equal to restoring force at the lowest position otherwise the gravity will pull down the particle toward it self and there will not be any SHM.
Diagram and rest of the solution is attached.
