Let x2 = t
The equation becomes
t2 - 31t - 180 = 0
(t + 5) (t - 36) = 0
t = -5, t = 36
Therefore, we have:
x2 = -5 This equation will not give us a real value of x.
x2 = 36 This gives x = 6 or -6.
