Energy = (1/2) L i2 
 
inductance L isdefined as, L = n Φ / i  ,  where n is number of turns, Φ is flux and i is current in the coil.
 
hence energy = (1/2) n Φ i   = (1/2)×500×2×10-3 × 5 =  2.5 J
