Expert Answer

For 64,

Subtract 1,7,19,37.. in a sequence

(1) 64-1=63

(2) 63-7=56

(3) 56-19=37

(4) 37-37=0 -- 4 steps

Therefore the cube root of 64 is '4'.

For 216,

Subtract 1,7,19,37.. in a sequence

(1) 216-1=215

(2) 215-7=208

(3) 208-19=189

(4) 189-37=152

(5) 152-61=91

(6) 91-91=0 -- 6 steps

Therefore the cube root of 216 is '6'.
