Expert Answer:
3 + 1/2 log10 9 - 2 log10 5
= 3 + 1/2 log10 32 - log10 52
= 3 + 1/2 x 2 log10 3 - log10 25
= 3 + log10 3 - log10 25
= 3 + log10 (3/25)
= 3 log10 10 + log10 (3/25)
= log10 103 + log10 75
= log10 (1000 x 3/25)
= log10 1200
