- Justice: It states that all citizens are equal before the law. Everyone is entitled to justice irrespective of caste, creed, race, birth of place, sex, status and religion.
- Liberty: It ensures that all citizens enjoy all types of freedom which is necessary for the proper development of each individual in free atmosphere. It also provides certain fundamental rights to the citizens such as freedom of thought and expression and freedom to follow any religion of our choice.
- Equality: It ensures that all the people are treated equally and given equal opportunity. This implies that the state will not discriminate among the people based on their religion, sex, race, caste, creed, wealth or place of birth.
- Fraternity: Indians are divided into various different communities and social groups. To develop the feeling of oneness between the various sections of society, the government tries to establish common brotherhood and promote fraternity. It also tries to maintain the unity and integrity of the country.
