Chemical Reaction: A process in which two or more substances react to form some other new substances with a new set of properties is called a chemical reaction.
A chemical bond is an attractive force which holds the atoms of a molecule together in a compound.
Chemical reactions are represented by chemical equations.
Substances taking part in a reaction are called reactants, and the new substances formed are called products.
Chemical reaction: Reactants → Products
Example: Sodium hydroxide reacts with dilute hydrochloric acid to form salt and water.
Sodium hydroxide and hydrochloric acid are reactants, and sodium chloride and water are products.
