Consider the following data: 2, 2, 2, 5, 5, 9, 9, 10, 10 Find whether mode and median of the data are same or different.

The given data is in ascending order.

Mode is the observation that appears most often.

Thus, from the above data, Mode = 2 (appears thrice)

Median is the middle most value.

Thus, Median = 5th observation = 5

Thus, mode and median are different.
