Forests are an important natural resource because they give us 5Fs- food, fodder, feul, fiber and fruits. Further, Timber is used for making furniture, constructing houses, manufacturing paper, plywood and other products. 
Forests also regulate the temperature of a place and help in conserving land and soil.
