For the velocity to be same,
 
vH = vO 
 
T subscript H over T subscript O equals M subscript H over M subscript O
We know that the molecular mass of hydrogen ≈ 1
and of oxygen is ≈16
Thus, the ratio of their molecular masses is 1:16
 
 
T subscript H space end subscript space equals space T subscript O M subscript H over M subscript O space equals space open parentheses 100 space plus 273 close parentheses 1 over 16 space equals space 373 over 16 space equals space 23.312 space minus space 273 space equals space minus 249.68 degree C
Thus, the temperature at which the speed of sound in hydrogen and speed of oxygen will be same is -249.68ºC
