It is given that two equal fragments of mass m are moving perpendicular to each other with speed v .

Hence by momentum conservation , if the third fragment of mass 3m is moving with speed V  then we have

If unit length of water volume has mass m , then mass of water volume coming out of pipe is  ( m v )

Rate of kinetic energy = (1/2) ( mv ) v2 = (1/2) m v3
