An insect is sitting 80cm in front of a plane mirror  m if the mirror  is now moved 0.20m away from the insect how does the image of the insect from its previous image

Image of the insect will also move 0.2m towards mirror. Because in plane mirror distance of object and image from mirror remain same.
New distance between insect and its image would be 1.6-0.4 =1.2m
