Let u be the mirror to object distance and v be the mirror to image distance.
focal distance f of mirror is given by, f = R/2 , where R is radius of curvature. hence f = 36/2 = 18 cm
magnification of image = -v/u = 3
-ve sign indicates image is inverted. hence v = 3u, both v and u are same sign.
we have mirror equation, (1/v) + (1/u) = 1/f ...................(1)
