Let us calculate the total amount for Rs.100

3 years intrest for Rs.100 = pnr/100 = 100×3×6/100 = Rs. 18

Total amount for Rs.100 = Rs. 100 + Rs. 18 = Rs. 118

If total amount is Rs.118, then pricipal amount 100
For total amount 4130, principal amount =  (4130/118)×100 = Rs. 3500
