A force is applied on (i) A rigid body and (ii) Non-rigid body. How does the effect of force differ in two cases?

When force is applied on a non-rigid body it can change its shape or the dimensions and can also produce acceleration; while and when force is applied on a rigid body, it tends to produce acceleration in the body.
