A cylinder of maximum volume is cut out from a cube,find the ratio of the volume of a cube to that of a cylinder.

Dear student,
Here is the solution:
Volume of the cube with side a cm = a3
For the cylinder radius= a/2 cm and height=a cm
therefore, Volume of the cylinder
Ratio of the volume of cube to the volume of cylinder
Therefore ratio = 1.45
